Kates Collections -Rudraksha Buddha Bangle Mala Prayer Beads x 1

String of Rudraksha Mala prayer beads made from wood on an expandable bracelet. Mala beads have a long tradition in many religious cultures, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism, Sikhism as well as some other cultures. Sometimes a similar concept is also referred to a rosary. They can be used in a number of ways, to help bring positive focus on a particular aspect. Some people use them while chanting or reciting a mantra. Each bead is held in turn each time the mantra is recited. It normally begins by beginning with the bead next to the "mother bead". In this case, the mother bead is the tiny Buddha head. The process is repeated with each wooden bead until the mother bead is reached again.
The cycle can be repeated as many times as you choose. Sometimes referred to as a personal power object , even being likened to a PIN number, a mala can help to help trigger a deeper connection to personal belief systems, protection, positivity and a greater connection to a sense of joy and calm. They can also be used as an aid when repeating a personal affirmations in times of need. Traditionally made from a Rudraksha seed, hence the name. However, the beads on this mall are made of natural wood . Please note that the Buddha pictured in the background is purely for photographic display and is not supplied with the male beads.
Provenance: Indonesia
Size: 10 to 11 cm doubled over and 1.3 cm bead width. The bracelet is expandable. However, please note the width is bigger than the average bracelet worn for jewellery and would only fit snuggly on a large wrist or smaller forearm. It is deliberately like this so that it can be readily and primarily used with ease as a Mala.
