Labradorite Crystal Palm Stone from Madagascar with Display Stand and in Organza Gift Bag-
Polished labradorite gemstone palm stone , displaying varying combinations of green/gold /blue colours when turned towards the light. This is on a background of grey-green stone. A member of the Feldspar family , silicates class A. It was discovered in the 18 th Century. The name labradorite is derived from the area called Labrador in Canada, as it was here that the stone was first mined. Folklore of the Inuit people, claim Labradorite fell from the frozen aurora Borealis. The remarkable display of colour is known as labradorescence. In healing circles, it is thought to bring transformation, imparting strength and perseverance. Please be aware that it can look quite dull, so you have to position it to catch the light in order to get the colours that I have captured in the pictures. In some of the pictures, I have tilted them to get optimum light tilt to catch light. Can be used as a palm / worry stone , or displayed with the small acrylic display stand provided. Comes in a dark blue organza gift bag and with the small card pictured.
Provenance: Madagascar
Size: 7.8 x 6.2 x 2.25cm 221 gms
Condition: Labradorite is very hard to photograph. Please be aware I have tried to show as much as I can. However, as it is a natural gemstone, there will be minor flaws, and this is the case with most of the listings you see. I have done my best to try to show these. While there may be some superficial flaws, the piece, seen in its entirety and correctly positioned towards the light, reveals the vibrant colours. However, please be aware that while I do my best to show these, I am relying on the camera and my skills, but please enlarge the pictures and judge for yourself. I buy the labradorite from a reputable source, and do my best to try to show the stone as honestly as I can. Please enlarge the pictures to see them and message me with any queries prior to purchase, as I am here to help. Please be aware it may appear dull until you position it to catch the light. In some cases, this may take patience to see this. code 5396A
