Fossil Tooth Globidens Phosphaticus Mosasaur 

 Fossil Mosasaur tooth in acrylic collectors box.Rarer than most of the more common teeth as this one is from a species called Globidens Phosphaticus; Mosasaurus was an aquatic  lizard,up to 50 feet in length and weighing up to 15 tons.It had long jaws which were filled with lots of sharp powerful teeth, tearing open fish, squid, shellfish..Streamlined body with flippers, thus able to move swiftly through the water. However, this species  was a medium sized Mosasaur specializing in dealing with armoured prey and crushing tougher shells.. It crushed molluscs and shells and is thus a more mushroom shape or globe shape  Unusual gift idea/educational tool . Found Erfoud region, Morocco .
