Genuine Fossil Shark Tooth and Vertebrae .Species Otodus Obliquus. Extinct genus of shark; large predatory shark with similarities to the well known great white shark which may have reached up to 9.1 metres ( 30 ft) in length. It would have consumed bony fish with its impressive teeth. The teeth and vertebrae in the batch are all very similar. The ones in the box are a typical example of the ones you will receive. Please also see cm scale where you will see all of the other ones in this batch. Supplied in acrylic collectors box and with small card pictured. You will receive one tooth and one vertebrae selected at random from batch pictured.

Size: S ize range of batch; Teeth are 2.4 to 2.6 cm x 2.2 to 2.6 cm at widest points and vertebrae are 1.9 to 2.4 cm with a depth of 1 to 1.2 cm Box measures 60 x 40 x 20 mm
Condition: There has been some minor repair work to some of the teeth, but they have been restored and made stable and solid.This is fairly common, and can occur when the tooth is excavated from the ground.
