Moroccan Fossil Fish with Display Stand
Fossil fish.This fish is Thorectichthys cf. marocensis Murray & Wilson 2013. The older accounts of the fish give the age as Cretaceous ( Turonian) and as coming from Tafilait. In fact all these fish are Cretaceous but slightly older ( Upper Cenomanian) and are coming out of a relatively new locality at a place called Gara Sbaa which is in the Kem Kem basin. It is a form of herring. Comes with acrylic display stand.
