Fossil Trilobite  sp Elrathia Kinghii. Surrounded by other partial remains.These trilobites are from the world famous Wheeler Shale Formation, and although small, have surprisingly good detail with their typical wide thorax. They are classed as a marine arthropod, being related to crabs, insects and scorpions. These abundant creatures scavenged on food on the ocean floor. These areas were low on oxygen, and it thought that these conditions contributed to their good preservation .Supplied with a click and twist acrylic display stand.
