Brachyptergius Extremus ( Boulenger 1904) vertebraea .A genus of Ichthyosaur from the Kimmeridge clay. Kimmeridge clay is a sedimentary deposit of fossiliferous marine clay from late Jurassic to lower Cretaceous. It is seen in Southern and Eastern England and also in the North sea. Many different fossil types have been found in this clay, including those from crocodiles, sauropods, plesiosaurs,pliosaurs and ichthyosaurs.
