Cretaceous Irridescent Ammonite Scaphites S. Dakota Scarce Nodule Concretion (1)

The ammonite is iridescent when turned towards the light, with rainbow colours ,though this is hard to show on my photographs. It is resting in original nodule ( concretion) . There is part of another ammonite visible and another gulley showing irridescent exterior shell. The main ammonite, although not perfect, does show some good detail. It is quite a large display piece and this particular type of specimen is scarce to acquire. It can free stand but slightly wobbly base, so a large clip and twist acrylic display stand will be supplied.

Size: Ammonite itself measures 6.8 cm x 6 cm Nodule measures approx 15 x 8.5 x 8.5 cm . weight 1.8 kg
